Know what you want? A plain board in a standard size can be bought outright, no conversation needed. Payment is by simple bank transfer, arranged directly with Luis. Send the order form below and Luis is in touch to confirm your board and how to pay. The board is reserved once your payment lands. Collect free from the surf shack in Arelho, or from Surf Bunker or Surf Foz, stockists of Watta boards, or Luis confirms the shipping cost by email. Still deciding? A 50 percent deposit secures your place while the spec is worked out with Luis, and the balance is settled before delivery.

The balance of flow, speed and sharp response. The ZEP Performance All-Around is Zé Carvalho's signature daily driver, a versatile shape built for everyday surfing. A modern, shallow swallow tail on a high-performance shortboard foil generates effortless down-the-line speed without losing the ability to pivot sharply, so it suits a surfer wanting one responsive, fluid board for average to good waves.
The extra tail area keeps you gliding over fat, mushy sections, and the swallow gives a looser, more playful release off the lip than a standard squash. One reliable shape that covers most of the conditions you find through the year. Like every Watta it is shaped by hand and built to you.
Skill level, intermediate to advanced
A responsive daily driver that rewards an advanced surfer and still stays accessible for a strong intermediate. Balanced, sensitive underfoot yet easy to paddle. The chart gives an advanced and intermediate weight for each size.
Design and conditions
- Wave size
- 2ft to 6ft, waist high to slightly overhead.
- Wave type
- Soft or punchy beach breaks, everyday points and sectiony surf. It carries momentum over fat sections and holds when you lean into a steep pocket.
- Outline
- Forgiving yet performance-minded through the middle, tapering into a sleek nose to stop it catching in tight-radius turns.
- Rocker
- Moderate entry rocker for easy paddling and early entry, blending into a flat-to-medium exit for raw speed.
- Bottom
- Deep single-to-double concave through the centre, channelling water to the fins for instant speed out of turns.
- Tail
- A modern, shallow swallow tail. The break in the rail line gives a sharp pivot for vertical snaps, while the wings hold crisp on long carves.
- Fin setup
- Thruster or 5-fin convertible. Thruster for classic performance tracking, quad for extra speed on softer days.
